I have always known that I wanted to help people. I didn't discover how I wanted to help people till my late teenage years when I began to notice the disparities in health care that existed in my home country of Ghana, especially for women. Women's health came naturally to me. From personal experience, family stories, community encounters, I knew that I wanted to make an impact in the life of every woman I encountered.
