I practice general orthopaedics with a concentration on disorders of the foot and ankle. I have lived the majority of my life in North Carolina and consider it home. I began my career as a physical therapist before pursuing a career as a physician assistant. Because of this experience, I bring a unique perspective to the care of my patients. I entered medicine because I love to think about how our bodies work and I like helping people be healthy. In high school, I injured my forearm, which required surgery. I was treated by a physician assistant who was knowledgeable, kind, and truly cared about my recovery. Even at 15 years old, I remember how much she enjoyed her job. These are qualities that I have tried to embody throughout my professional career. Urgent care is appealing to me because of the variety and complexity of complaints that can come through the door. Every day is different, which has allowed me to continue to learn and challenge myself. I believe that communication is key to patient care. Obtaining a robust patient history and listening to patients helps guide proper management. For me, it is just as important that a patient understands the diagnosis and treatment plan. When I'm not working, I enjoy traveling, biking, and trying new restaurants with my husband.

I am an urgent care provider focused on patient centered care with experience in emergency medicine now treating acute care Patients. My medical experience and education began volunteering at a cancer hospital in middle school, advanced through undergraduate and graduate studies. Following graduation, I worked at two major universities, for the Department of Defense and two private orthopaedic practices. My sports medicine experience includes work with women's and men's athletic teams, active military personnel and older adults. I perform clinical examinations of new and follow-up patients. I assess the need for, and interpretation of, radiographs, MRIs, and CT scans. I execute joint, bursa injections/ aspirations under ultrasound guidance. I have committed my life to patient care.
