Dr. Alan S. Lipp
Overview
Dr. Lipp is a highly skilled and board-certified physician specializing in Gastroenterology. He is the Practice Director of Northwell Health Physician Partners - Gastroenterology at Mineola. Dr. Lipp completed his medical education at the University of Miami School of Medicine, graduating at the age of 22 from the prestigious Honors Program in Medical Education. He was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA.
Following medical school, Dr. Lipp completed his Residency in Internal Medicine at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. He then pursued a Fellowship in Gastroenterology at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine. With over two decades of clinical experience, Dr. Lipp is highly proficient in all facets of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. He has a particular interest in celiac disease, colon cancer screening and prevention, inflammatory bowel diseases, and gastroesophageal reflux disease.
Dr. Lipp serves as the Director of the Celiac Program at Northwell/ECLI, demonstrating his dedication to improving the quality of life for patients with celiac disease. He also holds academic appointments, serving as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell and as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Medicine at the NYU Long Island School of Medicine. Dr. Lipp is a Fellow of both the American College of Gastroenterology and the American College of Physicians.
In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Dr. Lipp is known for his contributions as a Medical Advisor on major motion pictures including Requiem for a Dream, Pi, and the upcoming Caught Stealing. Dr. Lipp resides in Great Neck with his wife and three children.
