Overview
I was inspired to go into medicine by our family doctor who personified wisdom, grace and dignity. He was loved by his patients for that! I consider being a physician to be a great privilege and an awesome responsibility. Having lived across the globe, I have developed a unique approach to medicine that combines best practices from various communities I have worked in. I believe the key to healing patients is in listening to them carefully and making them a true partner in their healing process. I believe that it takes a team to achieve excellence in providing health care and thus I love being at Duke, among some of the very best fellow physicians, nurses and advanced practice providers. I also like to give back to my community by training, encouraging and inspiring young minds, especially, young girls to aspire for careers in STEM disciplines.
