I was a school teacher for three years before I embarked into medicine. Ultimately, I learned that medicine combined the intriguing world of scientific discovery and the joy of teaching. It has allowed me to be a lifetime learner! | Community involvement | I am actively involved in the Society of Gynecologic Oncology and want to continue raising awareness of gynecologic cancers locally, regionally and nationally. I have been involved in raising money for the Women's Cancer Foundation and the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition by participating in their annual walks. I also support my local church and community. | Personal interests | I enjoy cooking, traveling, scuba diving, snowboarding and most of all, spending time with my family.
