Overview
Samer Blackmon, MD is co-owner of Acorn to Oak Health (ATO), a membership-based Internal Medicine and Pediatric practice. ATO is a proud member of the Piedmont Clinic. Dr. Blackmon is a graduate of the Honors Program in Medicine from the University of Miami. She completed her residency at Emory Univesity. Board-certified in Internal Medicine, Dr. Blackmon specializes in caring for medically complex adults, with expertise and love for geriatrics. Prior to ATO, she worked in both Primary Care and Academic settings.
With over 20 years of experience and a passion for relationship-driven medicine, Dr. Blackmon strives to deliver care that goes beyond treating symptoms. She believes in the power of preventive health, focusing on your total well-being including fitness, nutrition, and cognitive/emotional health.
Outside of work, Dr. Blackmon enjoys spending time with her husband and two young sons; gardening, traveling, and reading. She values community connections and enjoys engaging with friends and neighbors.
Dr. Blackmon is accepting new patients and welcomes most major insurance plans, medicaid is not accepted at this time.

Jonathan Lowman, M.D., earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and his medical degree at Emory University Medical School. He completed his internal medicine residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida. Dr. Lowman is board certified in internal medicine. Prior to joining Piedmont Physicians, Dr. Lowman practiced in the metro Atlanta area for over 25 years. He was also an emergency room physician in the hospital setting. Dr. Lowman's special interests include diabetes care and the expansion of electronic health record utility in patient care.In his spare time, Dr. Lowman enjoys ASPCA activity and reading extensively in the fields of history and science.
