He earned both his Bachelor of Science and Medical Doctorate degrees from the University of California, San Diego. He then completed internal medicine training with Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego and cardiovascular fellowship training at the University of California, Irvine. He performs angiograms and implants pacemakers and defibrillators. Additionally, he has clinical and research expertise in the cutting edge field of cardiovascular imaging including appropriate use and interpretation of cardiac CT angiography and cardiac MRI studies. He founded Santa Marias first outpatient cardiac nuclear myocardial perfusion program and is the Director of Central Coast Comprehensive Cardiovascular (C4) Imaging. He was named in 2011 and currently acts as the Director of the Non-Invasive Cardiology Department at Marian Regional Medical Center. He was elected by his peers to serve as the Chief of Cardiology at Marian Regional Medical Center for 2012 and 2013. Dr. Harrison is fluent in both English and Spanish; his services are available to adult cardiovascular patients.
