Overview
Mary E. Keebler, MD is a cardiologist and is certified in advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology and cardiovascular disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She is the director of the section of heart failure and pulmonary hypertension and the medical director of advanced heart failure at UPMC. She is an associate professor of medicine at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Dr. Keebler received her medical degree from Tulane University Medical School, New Orleans, and completed her internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital with additional fellowship training in heart failure at Boston University Medical Center. Dr. Keebler joined the UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute in 2018. Her clinical interests include heart failure, cardiogenic shock, heart transplantation, and mechanical circulatory support. Dr. Keebler has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and is an active member of the Heart Failure Society of America and the International Society of Heart and Lung Transplantation. She also serves on national steering committees and writing groups for studies in mechanical circulatory support.
