The idea of applying that knowledge to taking care of people (stemming in part from my Boy Scout activities leading to the rank of Eagle Scout) was most appealing. Moreover, I always liked the Sherlock Holmes deductive reasoning approach, which is particularly useful in my chosen specialty – neurology. | Community involvement | I am active in my church and support multiple civic groups. As a semi-professional cello player, I am the principal cellist in the Pottsville orchestra (Anthracite Philharmonic). I also serve on that organization's board of directors. I have been a guest performer with the Gabriel Chamber Ensemble (Schuylkill County), and the Sunday Sinfonia of Albright College in Reading. | Personal interests | My interests include music, golf, reading, cooking (when I have time), travel and supporting my Philadelphia professional sports teams.
