Overview
I am a pediatric neurologist and have special interests in tuberous sclerosis, pediatric headaches and general pediatric neurology. Early in my education, I was privileged to work with outstanding child neurologists sharing their love and enthusiasm for this specialty. It is essential not only to connect with the little toddler or adolescent but also the family to arrive at the right diagnosis and therapy. Listening to their story, understanding their needs, building the important partnership with the family and at the end getting a smile from a patient are most rewarding and satisfying. Besides work I love classical music, exercise and spend time with my family.

As a neonatal neurologist, I specialize in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of conditions affecting the newborn brain. I care for patients with a range of neurologic conditions, including hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy, brain malformations, stroke, hemorrhage, and seizures. It is my goal to provide coordinated, longitudinal care to infants and their families throughout pregnancy, birth, and neonatal life. By listening and observing, I can better understand their needs and then apply the most advanced knowledge and technologies to help them. There is a lot of patient education that goes on and it’s very important and most delightful to do that in close partnership and alliance with the family particularly in an often complex disorder like childhood epilepsy. Outside of work, I enjoy classical music, reading, biking, jogging and traveling, but what I truly enjoy most of all is taking care of patients.
