I am a neurosurgeon and care for children and young adults. I focus on minimally invasive approaches to improve the quality of life of my patients. Your patient experience is very important to me, and I will strive to provide the best possible care for you and your family. I will always go the extra mile to try to improve your care. I care for conditions that affect the brain and spine, including tumors, epilepsy, Chiari malformations, hydrocephalus, craniosynostosis, vascular conditions such as AVMs and Moya Moya disease, and complex tethered cords. I learn so much from my patients and really look forward to getting to know all of them. I strive to bring the best collaborative team to the table to achieve the best possible outcome. Because of my family experiences I was drawn into the field of medicine early in my life. One of my close family members suffered from epilepsy since she was very young. I learned that a doctor’s job is not only to prescribe medication but also provide education, counseling, and support when dealing with diseases like epilepsy. My two young children keep my wife and I active and on our toes. We take them hiking, camping, swimming, and any other outdoor activities possibly available that keeps them busy and promises a full night’s sleep. I enjoy woodworking and wood carving in my free time and enjoy seeing raw wood transformed into a useful daily accessory or an artistic gift. As a neonatal neurologist, I specialize in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of conditions affecting the newborn brain. I care for patients with a range of neurologic conditions, including hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy, brain malformations, stroke, hemorrhage, and seizures.
