Overview
Neil Patel MD, MPH is a cardiologist with UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute. He is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Patel received his medical degree from B. J. Medical College, India. He then went on to complete a master’s degree in public health at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, NY, followed by his internal medicine residency at UPMC in Central Pa., and his fellowship in cardiovascular disease at The Wright Center for Graduate Medical Education. Dr. Patel’s clinical interests include general cardiology with specific focus on cardiac imaging, valvular heart disease, heart failure and heart rhythm disorders. He has published numerus articles in peer reviewed journals and is a member of the American Heart Association, the American College of Cardiology, and the Heart Rhythm Society. Outside of medicine, Dr. Patel enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, and spends his leisure time traveling, hiking, and exploring new places.
