Kelly McCoy, MD, FACS, is an associate professor in the Department of Surgery, Division of Endocrine Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and assistant vice president and acting chief surgeon at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System. She specializes in surgery of thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal disease/cancers particularly in minimally invasive techniques and in molecular genetics and advanced imaging modalities for surgical management of endocrine diseases. Dr. McCoy is board-certified in general surgery. She received her medical degree from Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia and completed a residency at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Md., followed by a fellowship in endocrine surgery at UPMC.
