His extensive experience in both human and animal models of atherosclerotic disease—including acute myocardial infarction, hypertension, peripheral artery disease, and coronary artery disease—positions him as a leading expert in the diagnosis and treatment of these conditions at Ochsner Medical Center – New Orleans.Dr. Jenkins specializes in interventional cardiology, performing a wide range of coronary, peripheral, and structural interventions, including procedures involving the mitral, tricuspid, pulmonic and aortic valves; septal defects; left atrial appendage; carotid arteries; renal artery denervation; and venous interventions.A distinguished leader in his field, Dr. Jenkins is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC), the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (FSCAI), and the Society for Vascular Medicine (FSVM).
