An experienced writer, Dr. Blumenthal is on the editorial board of Circulation, Cardiology Today, and The American College of Cardiology and Extended Learning Center. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association’s Epidemiology and Prevention Council. He was co-editor-in-chief of the textbook Preventive Cardiology – A Companion to Braunwald’s Heart Disease. He received his medical degree from Cornell Medical College, where he was awarded the Weiss Prize for Excellence in Clinical Medicine. He did his internal medicine and cardiology fellowship training at The Johns Hopkins Hospital before joining the Johns Hopkins cardiology faculty.
