He is the director of the electrophysiology laboratory at UPMC Shadyside and is an associate professor of medicine at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Dr. Voigt has authored or co-authored numerous peer reviewed publications. He participates in clinical research evaluating new techniques for treatment of atrial fibrillation and novel devices to treat heart failure and slow heart rhythms. He is a fellow in the Heart Rhythm Society and the American College of Cardiology. He participates in the standard setting process for American Board of Internal Medicine Clinical Electrophysiology recertification examinations (CMP).
