He earned his medical degree from West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia, and completed his residency in Family Medicine at Wellmont Holston Valley Hospital in Kingsport, Tennessee.Having been born in West Virginia, raised in South Carolina and completed his training in East Tennessee, he feels a very strong connection to this area and the people here. He and his wife, who is a Pediatric Emergency Medicine Specialist at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital now reside in Brentwood. Dr. Allie has many interests including playing the guitar and banjo, hiking, traveling, playing with his dog Toby and he is an avid marathon runner. In 2012 he was a finisher of the Leadville Trail 100 Mile Endurance Run. In 2014 he completed the New York City Marathon.
