Dr. Rodeen Rahbar

Dr. Hicks specializes in congenital aortic pathologies including aberrant subclavian arteries and aortic coarctation, thoracic and abdominal aortic aneurysms, complex lower extremity revascularization including lower extremity bypasses and stenting, and carotid endarterectomy. She is skilled in both open and endovascular surgery for the treatment of aortic and peripheral disease. She is also accomplished in clinical research with over 130 peer-reviewed publications and numerous textbook chapters; her research interests include clinical outcomes in aneurysm repair and lower extremity revascularization, as well as high-value care in vascular surgery. Dr. Sadie Ahanchi is a Vascular Surgeon with VIVA. She joined the practice in 2022 after a decade of providing quality vascular services in coastal Virginia. In addition to her open surgical skill set, she has a special interest in minimally invasive, endovascular techniques including treatment of peripheral arterial disease (PAD) with angioplasty/stenting, treatment of carotid disease with transcarotid artery revascularization (T-CAR), and treatment of varicose veins with endovascular ablation.Dr. Ahanchi received her medical degree from the University of Illinois, performed residency training at the University of Illinois in Chicago at Mt. Sinai Hospital Medical Center and completed vascular surgery fellowship training at Eastern Virginia Medical School. She is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation.
