Dr. John Csokmay
Overview
John M. Csokmay, M.D., is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN) and reproductive endocrinology and infertility (REI). Dr. Csokmay received his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. He then completed his residency in OB/GYN at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. From there, Dr. Csokmay returned to Maryland and trained in REI at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Prior to joining Shady Grove Fertility, Dr. Csokmay retired from the Army as Colonel following 24 years of military service with his most recent position being Chief, Department of OB/GYN at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. During his 10 years at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, he oversaw the military’s most academically productive OB/GYN department with over 350 research publications and a robust multidisciplinary simulation program that was adopted nationally. His research interests include embryo quality and live birth rates, improving pregnancy rates, and elective single embryo transfers. Dr. Csokmay values training the next generation of physicians, evidenced through his prior position with the National Capital OB/GYN Residency and the REI Fellowship at the National Institutes of Health, where he taught and mentored over 110 students, residents, and fellows. Dr. Csokmay has been celebrated for his many academic, military, and professional achievements, including his distinguished honor as the Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine’s (HJF) Hero of Military Medicine, Army Honoree, which recognizes individuals and organizations who have made outstanding contributions in advancing medicine for our nation’s warfighters, veterans, and civilians. He has also received the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) Star Award and the LTG Claire L. Chennault Award for excellence in a Walter Reed faculty member. Dr. Csokmay is a member of several professional organizations including the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), and the Society of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (SREI). Dr. Csokmay provides patient care at SGF’s K Street office in Washington, D.C. In his spare time, Dr. Csokmay enjoys spending time with his family, listening to music, taking photos, and hiking at one of the local parks.

Shady Grove Fertility - Woodbridge
Jennifer Hsu, M.D., earned a full undergraduate merit scholarship from University of Virginia, where she continued her graduate studies and earned a medical degree. As a University of Virginia Medical School student, Dr. Hsu extended her research efforts abroad in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala and was ultimately honored with the Medical Alumni Association (MAA) Outstanding Medical Student Award. Dr. Hsu traveled north from Virginia to complete her residency at Columbia University Medical Center, then on to Boston to complete her fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Hsu is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and reproductive endocrinology and infertility. She is also a member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (SREI), American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), and the Pacific Coast Reproductive Society (PCRS). An accomplished researcher, Dr. Hsu has contributed to more than 15 presentations across the country on topics including intrauterine insemination (IUI), anti-Mullerian hormone (AMH), and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). She has also served as a peer-reviewer for several publications including the Journal of Assisted Reproduction and Genetics. Dr. Hsu is very active in the medical community, with experience as a lecturer and oral examiner at Harvard Medical School. She has also given back to a rural community by providing free medical, and women’s health services at outreach events in Appalachia. Dr. Hsu has proudly returned to Virginia, where she’ll be joining SGF at the Woodbridge location. She speaks Spanish fluently, further broadening her fertility care to diverse communities. Joseph Doyle, M.D., received his medical degree from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA. He completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, in Boston. Dr. Doyle then completed a 3-year fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at Massachusetts General Hospital. During his training, Dr. Doyle received several teaching and clinical excellence awards. His research efforts focused on oocyte cryopreservation; he presented numerous times at national and international meetings and has multiple publications. He also has a specific interest in healthcare delivery, which he developed through seminars in conjunction with Harvard Business School. Dr. Doyle is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, for which he has developed education modules and served as an ad hoc reviewer, and the Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. Originally from Virginia, Dr. Doyle is married and enjoys competing in triathlons, as well as skiing and exploring the outdoors.
