Overview
Philosophy of care | Improving my patients' quality of life is of utmost importance. I love it when patients tell me they have returned to doing the things they enjoy most – whether that be work, exercise or a hobby – because their prescribed treatment is effective. | Why I entered medicine | Rheumatology is exciting to me because the treatment of autoimmune disease and arthritis has recently significantly improved. Many new medications, especially those to treat rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and gout have become available to physicians and patients in just the past 10 years. | Community involvement | I help organize fundraising and educational programs for our local chapter of the Arthritis Foundation. | Personal interests | I very much enjoy spending time with my family and friends, cooking with my children, and travel.
