His research interests focus on early phase drug development for prostate cancer, as well a non-castrating therapies for patients with metastatic disease. Dr. Markowski is currently conducting research with funding from a Department of Defense Prostate Cancer Research Program Award and a Challenge Award from the Prostate Cancer Foundation, which focuses on new treatment strategies for prostate cancer patients.
