Dr. Hayah M. Kassis-George

Michael A. Mathier, MD, is a heart failure, heart transplant and pulmonary hypertension physician and is certified in cardiology and advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is the clinical director of the UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute and is a professor of medicine at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He received his medical degree from Columbia University and completed his residency at Massachusetts General Hospital followed by his fellowship there. Dr. Mathier joined the UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute in 2000. His clinical interests include heart failure, heart transplant, ventricular assist devices and pulmonary hypertension.
