Dr. Vilija Avizonis

Vilija Avizonis, MD is a radiation oncologist at Intermountain Health’s Utah Valley Clinic – Radiation Oncology in Provo, Utah. She supports patients across the Wasatch Front at various Intermountain facilities, using radiation therapy to treat cancer. Her practice is limited to radiation oncology treatments for cancer patients.Growing up in New Mexico, Dr. Avizonis graduated from the University of New Mexico with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, she then received her MD degree at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. Her internship, then residency in Radiation Oncology at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City, were followed by fellowship in Head and Neck Radiation Therapy. She joined Radiation Oncology at LDS Hospital in 1992 and has loved caring for her patients at Intermountain.In her spare time, she spends time with her husband and dogs, hiking, snowshoeing, skiing and doing anything outdoors.
