Dr. Karl Larsen is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in hand and upper extremity surgery. He holds the prestigious Certificate of Added Qualification in Surgery of the Hand and has been named a “Top Doc” by Colorado Springs Style magazine for eight consecutive years.He treats a wide range of conditions, including athletic injuries, overuse syndromes, elbow disorders, shoulder fractures, and complex hand trauma. Dr. Larsen earned his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University in Bethesda, Maryland, and completed his orthopedic residency at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas, followed by a fellowship in hand and microvascular surgery at the Indiana Hand Center.Dr. Larsen served in the U.S. Air Force and Air Force Reserve from 1989 to 2015, retiring as a Colonel. His military service included roles as a flight surgeon and orthopedic surgeon, leadership positions at the U.S. Air Force Academy, and deployments to Tibet and Iraq. His honors include the Air Force Special Operations Command Flight Surgeon of the Year and USAFA Clinical Surgeon of the Year, along with multiple military decorations.

Dr. Matthew Delarosa is an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in hand, wrist, and elbow surgery. He provides both surgical and nonsurgical treatment to improve function and reduce pain. He focuses on complex trauma and reconstruction of the upper extremity, wrist surgery and arthroscopy, elbow surgery, targeted muscle reinnervation, elective treatment of nerve compressions and hand arthritis, and injuries to soft tissues including nerves, tendons, and ligaments. Originally from Baton Rouge, LA, Dr. Delarosa completed medical school and orthopedic training at LSUHSC New Orleans. He then further specialized in Hand and Microsurgery at OrthoCarolina in Charlotte, NC under the direction of Dr. Glenn Gaston. In addition to the full spectrum of routine upper extremity problems, a significant portion of his fellowship training concentrated on brachial plexus and complex peripheral nerve injuries. Additionally, he traveled to Florianopolis, Brazil to study under Dr. Jayme Bertelli, an expert in peripheral nerve injuries, brachial plexus injuries, and tendon transfers. He is also interested in improving function of upper extremity amputees through targeted muscle reinnervation (TMR) and the use of a myoelectric prosthesis. Through his work in congenital, brachial plexus, and amputee specialty clinics he has gained a wealth of knowledge on the multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
