Overview

"Daniel Kuriloff, MD FACS, ECNU, is a board certified head and neck surgeon, and director of Head & Neck Endocrine Surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital/Northwell. He specializes in disorders of the thyroid and parathyroid glands.

Fellowship trained in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, Dr. Kuriloff's esthetic sense and attention to detail-passed down from his father (a talented, recognized fine artist)-is combined with proven surgical techniques that reduce complications and minimize scarring. After earning his degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, he completed surgical residencies at Albany Medical Center, Mount Sinai Beth Israel/Petrie Division and New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, and a fellowship in head and neck cancer and plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Michigan Hospitals.

Having performed more than 3,800 thyroid and parathyroid operations, Dr. Kuriloff's patients have extremely low complication rates and excellent outcomes. Public speakers, singers, television reporters and actors suffer no permanent vocal damage due to his expertise and state of the art techniques.

Dr. Kuriloff is one of the few surgeons in New York who is double certified in ultrasound diagnostic endocrine imaging of the neck. He routinely performs this procedure in his office during initial consultations to avoid needing multiple outside appointments, tests and biopsies. He puts it this way: ""My ultrasound expertise often results in an immediate diagnosis and identification of early spread of cancer.

Dr. Kuriloff is rated as an Experienced provider by MediFind in the treatment of Acquired Tracheomalacia. His top areas of expertise are Parathyroid Adenoma, Parathyroid Cancer, Thyroid Cancer, Parathyroidectomy, and Thyroidectomy.
