David Vann, M.D. earned his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. He completed his internal medicine residency at Emory University affiliated hospitals. A native of Atlanta, Dr. Walton earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. She completed her residency in internal medicine at the George Washington University Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Before joining the Piedmont Physicians Group (PPG), Dr. Walton was an assistant professor in the Department of Family/Preventative Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine and medical director of the Asa G. Yancey Health Center in Atlanta. She is board`certified in internal medicine. Dr. Walton believes in spending time with patients in order to determine and treat the root of the problem and not just symptoms of the problem. She also values patient education as a means of helping patients live a healthier life. Dr. Walton's special interests include preventative medicine, women's health and sports medicine. In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis and golf, running, sports, and spending time with her identical twin sons.
