Dr. Eric Britton

Dr. Griggs is board-certified in orthopedic surgery and hand surgery. Dr. Griggs completed his medical degree from the University of Louisville in Kentucky. After medical school, he completed his orthopedic residency at Brown University in Rhode Island. Following residency, he completed a hand and micro fellowship at the University of Houston in Texas and an additional shoulder and elbow fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Griggs specializes in surgical and conservative management of injuries and conditions of the shoulder, elbow and hands. This includes fracture care of the clavicle, shoulder, elbow, forearm, wrist and hand, along with trauma and chronic arthritis conditions. Dr. Griggs specializes in arthroscopic shoulder surgery for rotator cuff tears and shoulder instability. Other common conditions he treats are lateral epicondylitis, elbow arthritis and nerve compressions such as carpal tunnel and cubital tunnel. Dr. Griggs specializes in workers’ compensation patients and completed his level II accreditation with the state of Colorado. Dr. Choudhry provides a full complement of upper extremity/hand care from the shoulder to fingertips. A Colorado native, he graduated from Overland High School in Aurora where he was awarded the Bausch & Lomb Science Award for his “Excellent Promise in the Field of Science.” He went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in molecular biology from the University of Denver and graduated Cum Laude. He then attended the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical School where he received the William Winter MD Award for his “Outstanding Performance in Orthopedic Surgery” as a senior medical student. He continued his passion for orthopedics by completing his residency at the University of Cincinnati and affiliated hospitals. As a graduating chief resident he was selected as the recipient of the Peter J. Stern MD award “in recognition for outstanding qualities in professionalism, patient care, and teaching.” He then decided to pursue subspecialty training and completed an Upper extremity/Hand fellowship at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in North Carolina. During fellowship he received the Fellow’s Clinical Science Silver Award by the Wake Forest Division of Surgical Sciences for his research on nerve injuries. Dr. Choudhry has several research endeavors that have been presented at national meetings and published in prestigous scientific journals. Dr. Ky Kobayashi is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in conditions affecting the hand and upper extremities. He has a Certificate of Added Qualification in Surgery of the Hand and Sports Medicine. Dr. Kobayashi specializes in hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder surgery including microvascular surgery, arthroscopy, traumatic reconstruction, and joint replacement. Dr. Kobayashi is a distinguished graduate from the US Air Force Academy and the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He completed his orthopedic residency at the University of Connecticut as well as a fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery at Tufts Combined Hand Fellowship in Boston, MA. Dr. Kobayashi retired from the United States Air Force in 2014 with many decorations after several deployments to combat zones. He has extensive experience in combat casualty care and reconstruction. He has been staff and assistant program director for the Wilford Hall Air Force Orthopedic Residency Program in San Antonio, TX. He is actively involved in research & education and is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences in Bethesda, MD. Dr. Kobayashi was elected to serve on the Board of Specialties for the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons as well as the Society of Military Orthopedic Surgeons for education.  He has been the team physician for the Air Force Academy sports programs and is currently a consultant for the Olympic Training Center.
