After many years of service as Breast Committee Chair in the ECOG-ACRIN Clinical Trial Network of the National Cancer Institute (NCI), he was elected in 2024 as Co-Chair of the NCI Breast Cancer Steering Committee and appointed to the international steering committee of the Oxford Overview Collaborative, which are positions aimed at advancing clinical trials in breast cancer.
