Dr. Akash Nanda is the director of urologic and hematologic radiation oncology and director of patient safety at the Orlando Health Cancer Institute Center of Excellence for SpaceOAR. Dr. Nanda is a principal investigator in a research and clinical trials program focusing on urologic cancers, and his primary research interests include outcomes analyses and the design of prospective clinical trials for prostate cancer and quality improvement. He has presented his research at several national meetings and in numerous peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Nanda is an associate professor at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine in Orlando, where he teaches radiation oncology. Outside of work, Dr. Nanda enjoys spending time with family, traveling, reading and swimming. He is fluent in English and Hindi.
