Dr. Allison S. Dobry

Dr. Allison Dobry is a dermatologist who cares for patients with complex skin conditions. Her interests include supportive dermato-oncology (treating skin conditions related to cancer or its treatments), drug eruptions (rashes resulting from medications) and digital health (the use of technology to improve medical care and patient wellness). Dobry earned her medical degree with honors from Harvard Medical School. While at Harvard, through a research fellowship awarded by the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, she spent a year studying the biology of melanocytes (cells that produce the skin pigment melanin). She completed a transitional year at Cambridge Health Alliance, followed by a residency in dermatology at the University of California, Irvine, where she served as chief resident. She completed a fellowship in complex medical dermatology at UCSF. In addition to her work at UCSF, Dobry teaches residents at the Veterans Health Administration in San Francisco. In her free time, she enjoys discovering new music, reading fiction, finding new things to knit and crochet, and traveling.
