Andrew Blint, MD, is a UW Health orthopedic surgeon. He provides care for patients of all ages with musculoskeletal conditions affecting the bones, joints, muscles, ligaments and tendons.Dr. Blint specializes in orthopedic trauma care and total joint replacements of the hips, knees and ankles. He treats a wide range of orthopedic conditions that require surgery, including severe musculoskeletal injuries and complex pelvic and acetabular (hip joint) fractures. He also treats acute (sudden) and chronic (long-term) musculoskeletal infections and non-healing fractures and provides revision surgery for failed procedures.In addition to joint replacements, Dr. Blint performs arthroscopy (procedure in the joint) of knees and ankles and minor hand procedures for carpal tunnel release (hand nerve compression), trigger fingers (locked fingers) and hand cysts (fluid-filled sacs).Dr. Blint sees patients as more than just their medical condition. Using a whole-patient approach, he helps patients with all aspects of a traumatic injury, addressing their physical, psychological, emotional and financial needs. He provides patient-first care throughout the process, from the initial evaluation and diagnosis through surgery, recovery and rehabilitation.In his free time, Dr. Blint enjoys fishing, hunting and spending time with his family.I believe in treating all of my patients’ needs, not just their injury.
