Dr. Anne Louise
Overview
My clinical interests include general dermatology and autoimmune skin disease. In particular, I am interested in seeing patients with cutaneous lupus erythematosus, vasculitis, and dermatomyositis. I participate in clinical research in autoimmune skin disease in order to better care for these patients. My practice style is to work together with the patient to find the best treatment for the patient’s symptoms and lifestyle. For example, spending time to discuss everyday sun protection strategies with a cutaneous lupus patient can make all of the difference in preventing flares. In addition, I enjoy screening for skin cancer since I also have a background in oncology research. I aim to not only diagnose and treat skin cancers but to identify prevention methods as well. On a personal note, I am a former Duke undergraduate, Duke medical student, and Duke resident, so I can honestly attest to my commitment to serving the Triangle community.
