Dr. Charles J. Billington

Dr. Bradley Miller completed his Pediatric residency (2000) and Pediatric Endocrinology fellowship (2003) at the Mayo Clinic. He is a Professor in Pediatric Endocrinology, and has been a member of the division since 2003. Dr. Miller has an interest in the role of the growth hormone (GH)/insulin-like growth factor (IGF) system in normal and abnormal growth in children. Additionally, he is interested in the growth and development of children following adversity including cancer and its therapies, fetal alcohol exposure, and international adoption. Dr. Miller is also interested in the endocrine aspects of abnormal glycosylation in children with Congenital Disorders of Glycosylation. I am a research clinician at International Diabetes Center (IDC). I work with patients participating in research studies related to type 1 and type 2 diabetes and new diabetes technology. As Executive Director of the IDC, I also participate in training professionals in the US and internationally and publishing diabetes educational materials for patients and professionals. Translating new research findings into improvements in diabetes care is my major professional focus. We are finding that the best approach to improve care is by working as a team and to focus on the needs of each patient. My outreach diabetes clinic in Willmar Minnesota keeps me in clinical practice. My two granddaughters keep me active, amazed and inspired.
