Dr. Daniel Nguyen

Dr. Daniel Nguyen is a board-certified cardiology and electrophysiology physician at Orlando Health Heart and Vascular Institute. His specialty is heart rhythm issues with experience that includes: Arrhythmia consultation and management Atrial fibrillation ablation Atrial flutter ablation Supraventricular tachycardia ablation PVC ablation Ventricular tachycardia ablation Pacemaker implants Cardiac defibrillator implants Left atrial appendage occluder implants Dr. Nguyen believes in patient advocacy as well as working closely with patients to provide the highest quality of care and optimal outcomes through lifestyle changes, medications or procedures. Dr. Nguyen’s Training Dr. Nguyen earned his medical degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville. He completed an internal medicine residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pennsylvania and fellowships in cardiovascular medicine and clinical cardiac electrophysiology during which he was chief fellow at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore. About Dr. Nguyen Dr. Nguyen is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and clinical cardiac electrophysiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine and licensed as a medical doctor by the Florida Department of Health. He is a fellow of the Heart Rhythm Society and American College of Cardiology as well as a member of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology. His research interests include noninvasive intracardiac mapping and radiation therapy for noninvasive ventricular ablation. His peer-reviewed research papers have appeared in the publications Nuclear Cardiology, Pacing and Clinical Electrophysiology and EP Lab Digest. A valedictorian of Winter Park High School, his interest in the medical field grew when volunteering as a student at Orlando Health – Health Central Hospital in Ocoee, where he saw a patient come in with tachycardia. The patient was given adenosine and immediately converted back to a normal rhythm. He has been fascinated by arrhythmia diagnosis and management ever since. Outside of work, Dr. Nguyen enjoys spending time with his wife and family, trying new restaurants and staying active in the Florida sunshine. He is fluent in English and Vietnamese.
