A Mankato, Minnesota, native, Summit hand and upper extremity surgeon David Matson, M.D., After graduating summa cum laude with a degree in chemistry and biomedical studies from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. He completed medical school and residency training in orthopedic surgery at the University of Minnesota Medical School. He then completed a hand and upper extremity fellowship at Vanderbilt University in Nashville.
