Dr. Enrique S. Ana V

Dr. Enrique Sta.Ana earned his undergraduate degree in biology and psychology from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, and his medical degree from Marshall University School of Medicine in Huntington, West Virginia. He completed his internship and residency at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center of Boston, where he was chief resident in general surgery, followed by a fellowship in minimally invasive surgery at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester. Dr. Sta.Ana is board certified in general surgery and holds certificates in advanced trauma life support, advanced cardiac life support and basic life support. His primary clinical interests are minimally invasive surgery and robotics, which he applies to every aspect of the abdominal cavity such as the gall bladder, biliary tract and colorectal area. Dr. Sta.Ana chose to become a surgeon because it offers an opportunity to impact patients immediately. His practice is based on establishing a good relationship with patients and making them feel comfortable with their medical conditions. He also maintains a good relationship with each patient’s primary care provider or referring phycisian, and stays in touch during the entire process so the physicians can communicate about concerns and treatment plans. Dr. Sta.Ana has been a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons, American Medical Association and Philippine Medical Association. In his leisure time, he enjoys gourmet cooking, foreign travel, golf and tennis.
