I became interested in medicine because I wanted to serve my community by making people better. As an avid surfer, I understand the tremendous benefits sports and activities can have on a person's life. I also have had first-hand knowledge of the unique demands of athletes. I chose orthopedic surgery because I am able to improve patients' musculoskeletal conditions allowing them to return to the activities they enjoy.I believe in individualized care through comprehensive evaluation and patient-specific treatment. I educate my patients regarding the diagnostic process, their unique problem, their treatment options and recovery. Central to my approach is my firm belief that knowledgeable patients make the best decisions about their treatment and can help guide the diagnostic and treatment process. I employ both non-surgical and operative approaches using leading techniques to provide my patients with the best orthopedic care possible.
