Today there are many strategies for treating skin cancers which include radiation and light based therapy, topical and systemic chemotherapy, conventional surgery, and Mohs micrographic surgery, a highly effective treatment modality for skin cancers with aggressive behavior or located in cosmetically sensitive areas. In my practice, I strive to help my patients understand their diagnosis and work with them and their referring physician to choose an evidence-based therapeutic regimen that is tailored to their particular needs while achieving the highest possible cure rate, and the best functional and cosmetic outcome.
