Dr. Yavuz Ince is a clinical assistant professor in the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Michigan. He primarily works at the outpatient child and adolescent psychiatry clinic located in the Rachel Upjohn Building in Ann Arbor.Dr. Ince received his medical degree from Koç University School of Medicine in Istanbul. He completed his adult psychiatry training at Detroit Medical Center/Wayne State University in Detroit, followed by a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of Michigan School of Medicine, where he served as chief fellow.Dr. Ince is interested in studying emotional and behavioral challenges among patients with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorders (ADHD), and intellectual disability and rare genetic neuropsychiatric disorders. He also has an interest in application of neuromodulation and use of cannabis in psychiatric and neurological conditions.He is a member of American Psychiatric Association (APA) and American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP). He is a recipient of APA/APAF Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship Award. He loves travelling, etymology, and history and he is a member of AACAP History and Archives Committee. Dr. Ince speaks English, Turkish and little bit of German.
