Overview
Dr. Jose Diaz was born in Puerto Rico and is a graduate of Universidad Central del Caribe (UCC) in Puerto Rico. His residency training in neurology was at Letterman Army Medical Center and University of California San Francisco and their affiliated hospitals. Dr. Diaz proudly served in the United States Army and was a brigade surgeon for the 41st Artillery Brigade. He received several medals for his service and was inducted into the Honorable Order of Saint Barbara. Board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Dr. Diaz has 30 years of experience in general neurology, with special interest in Multiple sclerosis (MS) and Parkinson’s disease. He was chief of staff at Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital, where he also served as director of the Stroke Unit. He has been providing neurological care to the Katy community since 1994. Dr. Diaz is dedicated to educating MS patients on their condition and treatment options and is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, Houston Neurological Association, Texas Medical Association, and American Medical Association. He also is fluent in Spanish.
