
Overview
Dr. Joshua Sappington specializes in diseases of the ear, treating both children and adults. He performs lateral skull base surgery and ear surgery, and treats facial nerve disorders, hearing loss, acoustic neuromas, sensorineural hearing loss, and specializes in cochlear implants and bone-anchored hearing aids. His services include: surgery for deafness; surgery for facial paralysis; head and neck tumors; and Meniere's disease. Research interests include: hearing outcomes in chronic ear surgery; outcomes of skull base surgery; management of skull base lesions; and treatment of patients with facial nerve paralysis and paresis. Dr. Sappington is an assistant professor in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, Division of Otology and Neurotology, at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, the North American Skull Base Society, and the American Neurotologic Society. His interests include fly fishing, cycling, reading, traveling and golf.
