Dr. Kamini Shah

Dr. Kamini Shah is a rheumatologist who provides comprehensive care to her patients at locations, including Northwell Health Physician Partners Medicine at Rego Park. She is dedicated to utilizing state-of-the-art technology and techniques in her practice, including point-of-care MSK Ultrasound, to accurately assess and diagnose inflammatory arthritides such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, seronegative spondyloarthropathies, crystal arthritis (gout and pseudogout), as well as osteoarthritis and soft tissue rheumatism.Dr. Shah is board-certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine and holds additional certification in Rheumatology. She completed her medical degree at St. Georges University School of Medicine and went on to pursue a residency in Internal Medicine at Mt Sinai West. Dr. Shah then further specialized in Rheumatology through a three year research and clinical fellowship at Yale University School of Medicine.As an Assistant Professor at Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, Dr. Shah is committed to educating and mentoring the next generation of physicians. She is a graduate of the USSONAR (Ultrasound School of North American Rheumatologists) program, where she gained expertise in musculoskeletal ultrasound. Dr. Shah serves as a mentor on the Fundamentals Committee for training ultrasound to rheumatologists in the US.Beyond her clinical and academic commitments, Dr. Shah is passionate about advocating for patients and physicians. She is a graduate of the AMPAC (American Medical Political Action Committee) Campaign School, which has equipped her with the skills to effect meaningful change in patient and physician advocacy.With her extensive training, expertise in rheumatology, and dedication to providing personalized and advanced care, Dr. Kamini Shah is a valued member of the Northwell Health team, committed to improving the health and well-being of her patients.

Her clinical expertise encompasses Tenosynovitis, Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA), Bursitis, and Melorheostosis.
