I became a gastroenterologist because I like the combination of procedural and clinical work the specialty requires. I have a special interest in inflammatory bowel disease, women's issues (especially during pregnancy) and gastrointestinal issues. These problems are very common, and I enjoy working with patients to help find solutions. The procedural aspect of my practice is particularly rewarding to me as I can help to cure or prevent cancers, such as colon cancer. During my free time, I enjoy traveling throughout the country and doing activities around the lake with my family, including water skiing, swimming, snowmobiling, ice skating and running with my dog. I belong to the following professional associations: * American College of Gastroenterology (ACG) * Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA).
