Dr. Kevin Mcgill

Dr. Kevin McGill is a radiologist who specializes in the musculoskeletal system. He interprets X-rays, dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) scans, CT scans, MRIs and ultrasounds. He has a particular interest in using ultrasound to diagnose musculoskeletal conditions as well as for guiding procedures to treat them. McGill's research involves image-guided procedures and cancer-related imaging. He is also interested in medical applications of artificial intelligence and improving the utility of medical imaging so that unnecessary diagnostic exams are eliminated and minimally invasive treatments are optimized. At the UCSF Bakar Precision Cancer Medicine Building, he is developing the musculoskeletal ultrasound biopsy program. McGill earned his medical degree from the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University. He completed a residency in diagnostic radiology and a fellowship in musculoskeletal radiology at the Henry Ford Health System. In his free time, McGill enjoys traveling with his wife and kids.
