Dr. Leah Spring is a double board-certified, fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon and cosmetic dermatologist, and the founder of Capital Skin and Laser in Columbia, SC. She completed dual fellowship training in both Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cosmetic Dermatology at the nationally recognized SkinCare Physicians, making her one of a select group of dermatologists in the country with advanced subspecialty training in both skin cancer surgery and cosmetic dermatology.
Dr. Spring specializes in skin cancer detection and treatment, Mohs surgery, complex facial reconstruction, laser and energy-based procedures, injectables, and evidence-based aesthetic medicine. Her clinical interests include facial balancing, regenerative aesthetics, scar optimization, laser resurfacing, and the intersection of cosmetic dermatology with long-term skin health and aging.
Prior to dermatology, Dr. Spring served as a Naval Flight Surgeon in the United States Navy, earning three Navy Commendation Medals, two Navy Achievement Medals, and the Humanitarian Service Medal. She later served as Chief Resident during her dermatology training.
