Her goal is to help children live full and active lives, even while managing serious health conditions.Outside of work, Dr. Engen enjoys hiking and exploring Wisconsin’s state parks, especially in the Driftless area. She also volunteers with the Madison Ballet and participates in their Nutcracker performances. Her love for ballet began in childhood and continues to be a joyful part of her life.My hope for my patients is that after their transplant they can live the widest possible life. Yes, they will have to see a doctor and yes they will have to take medications but I want them to be able to graduate high school, to play sports, to travel, to make new friends and go on to live their full rich and adult life.
