Overview
Dr. Tarif Khair received his medical degree from the American University of Beirut and completed his residency in internal medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and Parkland Hospital System in Dallas. Dr. Khair completed his fellowship in cardiology at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth). Dr. Khair holds board certifications in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, echocardiography and nuclear cardiology. His clinical interests include acute coronary syndrome, congestive heart failure (CHF), coronary artery disease (CAD), atrial fibrillation, valvular heart disease and cardio-oncology. An assistant professor of medicine in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at McGovern Medical School, Dr.Khair enjoys teaching medical students, residents and cardiology fellows. He has had several papers published in peer-reviewed publications in his field. In his spare time, Dr. Khair enjoys spending time with his family and friends, traveling, and playing tennis.
