Dr. Vijay Mehta

Dr. Vijay Mehta is a board-certified pediatric gastroenterologist at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children Center for Digestive Health and Nutrition. He diagnoses and treats gastrointestinal, liver and nutritional disorders in pediatric patients ranging from premature babies to young adults. He earned his degree in osteopathic medicine from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, Florida, and completed a pediatric residency at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, New Jersey. Dr. Mehta completed a fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, in conjunction with the University of Florida. He completed an additional year of nutrition fellowship at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer. About Dr. Mehta Dr. Mehta is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and National Board of Physician Nutrition Specialists. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the American Medical Association and North American Academy of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition. Outside of work, Dr. Mehta enjoys binge-watching TV shows and movies. He’s a Marvel Universe and Star Wars fan who also likes to run, hike, play card games and travel.
