Dr. William Decampli

William DeCampli, MD, PhD, is a pediatric cardiovascular surgeon with Orlando Health Children's Heart Institute. He is board certified in thoracic and cardiac surgery, and congenital cardiac surgery. He specializes in cardiothoracic surgery, complex neonatal and infant cardiac surgery. Dr. DeCampli earned his medical degree from the University of Miami. He completed his internship and residency programs in general and cardiothoracic surgery, as well as heart and lung transplantation at Stanford University Medical School in California where he served as chief resident. He also completed fellowships in congenital cardiac surgery at University of California – San Francisco and peripheral vascular surgery at Stanford University Medical Center. In addition, Dr. DeCampli completed a research fellowship with the department of cardiovascular surgery at Stanford. Dr. DeCampli is currently a professor of surgery at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine, as well as a graduate faculty scholar at the University of Central Florida College of Graduate Studies. He currently serves on the executive council of the Congenital Heart Surgeons’ Society and is managing director of their data center.
