Dr. Andrew B. Stefaniwsky
Overview
Dr. Andrew Stefaniwsky is a fellowship-trained gastroenterologist with Atlantic Medical Group, diagnosing and treating a range of digestive disorders from irritable bowel syndrome to liver conditions. Dr. Stefaniwsky joins Atlantic Medical Group from private practice, The Medical Group PA, where he was a founding partner from the time it was established in 1982. After receiving his medical degree from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Dr. Stefaniwsky remained there to pursue his residency, served as chief resident. He continued for fellowship training at UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School, where he also served as a clinical instructor. A leader in his field, Dr. Stefaniwsky has held positions that have included president of the New Jersey Endoscopy Society and chief of the Department of Gastroenterology at Irvington General Hospital. Board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology, Dr. Stefaniwsky is a fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology and a fellow of the American College of Physicians. He is also a member of Phi Beta Kappa academic honor society. Dr. Stefaniwsky maintains professional membership in the American Medical Association, New Jersey Medical Society, American College of Gastroenterology and American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. His research in the use of Ursodeoxycholic acid in bile acid gastritis was published in The Gastroenterology Journal.
